She's what I would say the sweetest and most annoying bird I have ever met. Right now we have six ****** in a baby pool with mulch, a cardboard house, food, water and the lamp they need. There's currently a big fence about 6 foot tall wrapped around the pool to keep the cat out.

One ***** (the subject of this story) learned how to jump up and out of the cage with the door open. Aww, cute, right? Then she learned how to jump onto the side of the baby pool and squeeze herself through the fence and onto the floor.

Upon reaching the floor she would peep very loudly until I went in to see what was wrong. Here she was, on the floor, peeping for me. She ran over, and when I sat down, she hopped into her lap like she was extremely happy to see me, and like I was mom.

I didn't even have to say anything, it was just visual recognition. She knows her name (Carl, it's silly but it fits her personality…) and comes to me. I'll point to a spot on my leg and say, "C'mere Carl," and she'll run over and stand there, look at me with what look like adoring ***** eyes, and twitter contently.

Now she'll walk into my hand and let me pet her back and neck, and place little kisses on her head. The other ****** won't even let you pick me up.

One of the best parts about this ***** is that she is only a week old.

THE best part, though, is that she'll only do it for me, and she's the only one who does.
