why no input current rating is mentioned on electronic gadgets and devices and only input voltage is mentioned ?

Suppose if its mentioned on a device , 12V input voltage then is there any difference if a use
a) a battery with 12V and 1Amp current rating or
b) a battery with 12V and 20Amp current rating ?

There is no wattage rating mentioned either, i can't find any wattage info neither on my laptop nor on my router nor on my mobile phone. But input voltage is mentioned on all.

I am from India. I have a Nokia GPRS Mobile phone (Airtel SymCard) with 24 hours internet connected to it. I also have a data cable.
How can I get internet in my pc through my Mobile phone?
Shall I have to pay any extra bill for using internet in pc through mobile?

Please list makes and models. I am trying to find a mobile phone that I can play pogo games on while travelling. The iphone does not work. I need a phone that can use java software and prefer one that already has it installed.
